Eric's First Birthday and Party

Thanks for all the well-wishes and congratulations last week regarding Eric. His first birthday was a blast, but I'm a little sad my little baby isn't such a little baby anymore! Pictures of his first birthday (including his first haircut!) are available here, while his birthday party (complete with vintage typewriters, homemade Play-Doh, handmade streamers, and a cake that looks like a cheeseburger) is documented here.

Looks like a great party! I love the centerpiece ideas with the pictures and m&ms. That's a great idea and would be super cute at a wedding or shower too. Loved the cake you made. I've done the pre-scooping ice cream too!! Makes the day so much easier. My 6 year old's birthday is in July & we usually do popsicles or something cool for the kiddos to enjoy.

A cake that looks like a cheeseburger? Bookmarking for Paul. As in my husband:) Happy birthday, e!

Lynn, yay for pre-scooped ice cream! Great minds think alike.

Devon, I found the cake on Better Homes and Gardens website (me thinks). I literally threw it together at the last minute (like, I assembled the whole thing about a minute before we actually sang "Happy Birthday"). I think I could have made it look a bit better. I'd love to see yours once it's done, please email me with pics!
